Gentle Reminder

I read this last night, printed it and have hung it around my house as a reminder.

"You can only correct your children...in kindness, by love unfeigned, by persuasion, and reason,"

Joseph F. Smith

Did i mention I am dealing with a 2 1/2 yr old with attitude who doesn't listen to me? So I need this reminder big time! BIG TIME.

Amen! I feel like I am always reacting to Katelyn...and I am reacting in anger and frustration. I rarely feel like I am in control and calm...Thanks for the reminder!

Now I need a way to have that in front of my face 24/7.

Can't wait to see all those christmas lights.

Thank you, I NEED that quote too. Ella has developed a serious attitude and sometimes it's easier to act out in frustration. I think I'll print that one too...or crosstitch it on a pillow :) I'm glad to hear you're doing well, I was really sorry to hear about your loss and we're thinking of you and your family

I totally understand. Times that by 3 and you have me with four year olds.

I think we all need that reminder! I just have to take it one hour at a time, one day at a time. Being a mom is pretty tough!

I swear if I'm not consistent AND kind all hell breaks loose. You're a wise mother in your young age my dear.

Yup, good idea. I'm doing that same.
Man, it is hard sometimes. I guess that is why motherhood is so important in the Lord's eyes-- the experience has SO much potential to change us and help us to become more Godlike.
